What are the dog bite laws in Florida?
The owner of dog is responsible for any injuries or damages caused to a person if his dog bites that person. It is a strict liability law, meaning that the owner doesn’t have to have any warning or knowledge of his dog’s former viciousness. Now, one thing to remember if you are on the dog owner’s home is that you have to be legally there. You have had to have been invited. So, if you are at a party and you’re bitten by their dog, or if you are a roofer, or you’re doing some jobs at the house and you’re bitten by a dog the owner is responsible for those damages.
