Should I provide statements to my insurance company and the insurance company of the driver who hit me?

If you’re in a motorcycle accident in Florida, and you’re contacted by insurance companies and they want recorded statements from you, the first thing you need to know is you never need to give a statement to the at-fault party’s insurance company. They may act nice. They may say this will help them resolve the case faster for you. But I would recommend never giving a statement to the at-fault party’s insurance company. You however have an obligation to give a statement to your insurance company. And I would advise that you at least contact an attorney so you can ask them some questions about the process and they can give you some advice, and then you can go ahead and give your recorded statement.
